How AI decides what to recommend

Assistants read the web, then answer with a shortlist. This is what shapes it, and what we show you.

Lists and comparisons

"Best tools for…" articles and comparison pages are among the most cited sources.

Reviews and communities

Review sites, forums and communities where buyers talk about the options.

Your website

Clear pages that say what you do and for whom, that AI is allowed to read.

What people say about you

The praise and complaints AI picks up, and repeats when it describes you.

The questions buyers ask before they choose

AI reads your website and writes the questions your buyers ask, the way they ask them. Each one is asked more than once, because AI answers change.

  • The best options in your category
  • Comparisons and alternatives
  • Questions about your brand by name

Track each product and category

Buyers ask about the thing they need, not your brand. Track your categories and products: AI writes the questions buyers ask about each, and you see your score, who wins instead and the pages AI reads, one product at a time.

  • Categories and products suggested from your site
  • Score, competitors, sources and fixes for each one

Questions

Do I need a Google listing?

No. Add your business by its website. We read it to understand what you sell, then write the questions buyers ask.

What is a market?

A country you sell to. Each market is asked as a buyer there, in its language. Questions about your brand itself are asked once, in your home market. The first market is included, each extra one is $5 a month.

What kind of questions do you ask?

The ones buyers ask before they choose: the best options in your category, comparisons, alternatives to a known name, and questions about your brand by name.

Which AI assistants do you check?

ChatGPT and Google's Gemini on every plan. Claude and Perplexity are an add-on. Each question is asked more than once, because answers vary from one ask to the next.

Is this the same as SEO?

No. SEO tools show where your pages rank in a list of links. AI assistants answer with a short list of names. This shows whether you are one of them, who is named instead and which pages AI read to decide.

Does it work for ecommerce?

Yes. Stores, brands, software, apps and online services. Ecommerce stores have their own page with examples.
